Ralph Shawn Walthall

Fisherman-Shepherd Foundation

"Ralph was not this world’s visitor; he was this world’s host. He was not just a fisherman; he was a guide to other fishermen. He was not just a student of life, but a teacher of life’s wonders. In this sense, Ralph was a fisherman who became a shepherd. He was a leader of people, deeply engaged in his world and deeply committed to the welfare of the people and the land around him. You can dream big dreams. You will have grand adventures and witness marvels that exist all around you. You can be a leader of men and a leader of women, shepherding them toward their own deep faith, high hopes, and astounding love. And, quite possibly, you will be the catcher of  big and beautiful fish."  ** Homily for Ralph by Reverend Dee H. Wade

We are proud to announce the formation of a Charitable Foundation in honor and memory of Ralph Shawn Walthall. The Mission of the RSW Fisherman-Shepherd Foundation is to promote spiritual and physical healing by exemplifying Ralph’s compassion, empathy, courage, and love of nature. Our Vision is to preserve the healing nature God’s abundant creation, by protecting our natural resources and providing individual opportunities for grand adventure and deep personal relationships.

We also dedicate this Foundation in loving memory of Frank and Peggy Walthall, Ralph's Uncle and Aunt whose generous bequest provided the initial funding for the RSW Fisherman-Shepard Foundation.
