The Dona O'Sullivan Fund supports projects that serve Louisville's homeless community. This fund also supports special training for case managers who work with homeless or formerly homeless persons.

Past grants from the Dona O'Sullivan Fund have supported:

  • Training of case workers in the use of the Common Vulnerability index to identify the most vulnerable members of our community who are homeless with the assistance of a national trainer.
  • Training of non-domestic shelter staff to better understand and identify human trafficking and domestic violence.
  • Training of case workers on the specific needs of the chronically homeless people in our community. The program included discussion of effective services, appropriate referrals and levels of services needed for this group.
  • Scholarships for three attendees to the Sprint 2014 Homeless and Housing Coalition of Kentucky Conference.
  • A case manager from YMCA Shelter House to attend the Life Space Crisis Intervention Training Conference.
  • Four case managers from St. John Center to attend the Housing First Conference in St. Louis.
